My name is Michelle Allen and I have been in the Accounting profession for more than ten years. I started my career as an Accounts Payable and Receivable clerk at a small business in the healthcare industry. As I worked at that company, growing into a well-rounded accounting professional, my responsibilities included completing the general accounting, payroll, tax returns, and etc. Soon after leaving that position I started as a Staff Accountant in one of the most successful public accounting firms in the mid-west. This position allowed me to learn the complete accounting process for a variety of industries. After six years in the profession, I took a senior level position as a Senior Accountant in a smaller but lucrative public accounting firm. In this position, I held a plethora of responsibilities. My new responsibilities showed me that I was able to run my own successful firm and thus, Allen & Associates Accounting was born.
